Whose Health, Is It, Anyway?

Since, one’s personal health, happiness, and well – being, is, to a large degree, up to them, wouldn’t it make sense, to proceed, wisely, carefully, and in a well – considered manner! Unfortunately, most of us, clearly demonstrate, proceeding with a large degree of common sense, is quite rare, and, therefore, this article will briefly discuss, some common sense approaches, to becoming your own best friend, instead of working against your best interests. There have been many studies, which clearly indicate, a link, between, happiness, stress reduction, and personal health, so, let’s consider a simple approach, to maximizing the possibilities.

1. What makes you happy, and why?: When was the last time, you proceeded, with enough, objective introspection, to give yourself, a check – up, from the neck – up? How do you determine, what makes you happy, and why it does so? Will you consider, objectively, your personal needs and priorities, and be true, to yourself? Will you seek to be the best, you can be, and true to yourself, or, merely, try to be a clone of others? If you can be, truly, happy, you maximize your potential, to live a better, happier, healthier, more fulfilling, life!

2. Will you have the necessary discipline?: Often, the difference, between, the most successful individuals, in any field, is, whether, they persist, and persevere, when others, aren’t ready, willing, and able, to do so! This takes personal discipline, focused on following, the path, seldom taken, rather than, merely, the simplest course of action, instead!

3. Do you have a genuine, positive, can – do, attitude?: It takes far more than talking – the – talk, to possess a quality, positive, can – do, attitude! Are you willing to, also, walk – the – walk, when others procrastinate? Will you, consistently, behave, in such a way, where you have far few internal conflicts, and become more capable, and ready, to do, what makes you prouder, and more content? You can think you can, or can’t. Either way, you’ll be correct.

4. Your personal strengths, and weaknesses: When one is willing, to admit, both his personal strengths, as well as weaknesses, and, proceeds, to effectively use, the former, while addressing, and fixing, the latter, he becomes capable to proceed, in a content, satisfied manner, and with far less internal stress, and unnecessary tension! Doesn’t it makes sense, one would feel better, when he minimizes stresses, when possible?

If you want to be happier, and healthier, it’s often, up to you, and how you proceed, through life! Are you up to the task, of helping yourself, and addressing your personal needs, etc?
